Where's Our Voice Now ??

Americans are known for putting their collective noses in other peoples business. We take a stand on many of the worlds problems. Whether the problem be the slave trade, poverty, pollution or pesticide use, it matters not. We will generally have something to say about it. Where is our voice now?

America has been quiet on the fate of thousands of people in the Darfur region of Sudan. Why, if we're the super-power that we claim to be, can't we put this atrocity down? If we are the policeman of the world, why do we sit by and do nothing? We went into Iraq on a whim because of bullshit lies. Yet we do nothing to end the rape of women and children. We sit by and turn our heads to the murder of thousands.

If ever there was a need for independent action, this should be it. We don't even have to rely on reports from stooges for the White House to get the facts. All we have to do is open our eyes. President Bush has stated that the world is better off since we invaded Iraq. I say that the world would of been better off by taking care of the oppressed people of Africa, instead of following his personal vendetta against Saddam.
