vive le France

Being an avid cyclist I am once again drawn to following le Tour de France. On this 4th of July I am reminded of the battle of Yorktown in the late summer of 1781.

Without the help of the French army and navy in this battle the colonies would never of escaped British rule. It was their assistance in battle, the willingness to lay down their lives, that led to the peace and confirmed that the United States was a sovereign nation.

For this assistance I, as an American, am truly grateful. To the 'freedom fries' lobby. You can kiss my friggin' ass. To the snail eating Frenchies everywhere. Thank you from my heart.

Peace out.
